Sometimes life has a beautiful way of coming around full circle. Such is the case for Renee Kistler, who serves her home buying or selling clients from the Harnett County office of Coldwell Banker Advantage.
Originally from Canada, Renee grew up in a family that recognized the value of owning real estate. “My grandparents and many family members were contractors and carpenters who all owned rental properties,” she says. “I bought my first duplex at age 23 and was able to flip it profitably, loving every minute of the process!”
Renee didn’t immediately pursue a career in real estate, though. For 22 years, she worked in telecommunications at a fiber optic laboratory in Burlington, Ontario. Highly trained and accomplished, she held positions as a Production Manager and Senior Research and Development Engineer.
“Fast forward, I moved to the United States to marry my long-distance love who serves in the Air Force. New country, new beginnings, ready to change careers and finally chase my hidden passion for real estate.”
Renee is driven by a desire to help people with likely the biggest investment of their lives. She also views the real estate profession as an opportunity to become a community expert, particularly in matters that relate to families. She is a mom to three: a daughter who loves soccer, another girl who is passionate about art, and a son “who cannot get enough of Fortnite and basketball.”
The family now calls Cameron home, and Renee is dedicated to causes that involve recycling and caring for children.
When not working, she enjoys walking or playing tennis with her husband, learning to play both acoustic and electric guitars, reading books about achieving and growing financial health, and practicing yoga and meditation.
