Kimberly Coleman knows a bit about growing a successful business and how to read people.
“For the past 11 years, I’ve been involved in the bar business,” she says. “My husband and I, along with our partner Todd Harr, currently own 22 Klicks Bar & Grill in Hope Mills.” Fans of the show “Bar Rescue” may remember their journey in three episodes.
“Over the years, I’ve been told many times that I would make a good real estate agent,” Kim says. “I’m known as a people person or, as my husband would say, a ‘social butterfly.’”
“I finally decided to give it a try after a friend of mine who had gotten out of the real estate business after her husband passed came to me and said she would consider going back if I would go to school. It was the most difficult task I every completed.”
Kim is now a Realtor for Coldwell Banker Advantage in Fayetteville, which was named the #1 brokerage in North America for closed transactions by Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC.
“My passion is for helping people,” she says. “Listening to what they want and are looking for – and being able to assist them in their dream – whether it’s buying a first-time, vacation or retirement property, or selling their home to move on to the next chapter in their lives. And, doing so with the least amount of stress possible!”
Kim knows first-hand about keeping calm under pressure. She also worked for several years at a neurology practice and as an EMT. She and husband, David, who were high school sweethearts, are the parents of three children and have one granddaughter. The family also includes four dogs, a parrot and turtle. “Our middle son is taking over the bar business as his mom moves on,” she says, smiling.
When not working, Kim enjoys riding motorcycles, kayaking and taking trips with her family to the beach or mountains. Causes close to her heart include Wreaths Across America, autism awareness, St. Baldrick’s and raising funds for lymphoma and breast cancer research.
