Janese Jones Henry has a couple of unique claims to fame. She starred in the Food Network’s “Worst Cooks In America, Season 14” in 2018. She followed up a year later in “Worst Cooks, Thanksgiving Redemption 2.”
What Janese may lack in kitchen skills, she more than makes up for in the real estate field.
Her sparkling personality and get-it-done style mesh well to serve her clients as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Advantage’s office in the rapidly growing area of Western Harnett County.
The office is minutes away from Janese’s native Spring Lake, which is next to Fort Bragg. “I really enjoy working with military clients and investors,” says Janese, adding that she is particularly proud of working with “first-time buyers who didn’t think it was possible for them to purchase a home.”
“My favorite part of real estate is finding the property,” she says. “The client’s face says it all: ‘This is THE ONE!’ That reaction is everything for me.”
Janese is a graduate of N.C. Central University in Durham. Prior to her real estate career, she worked as a Disaster Case Manager for the state and in helping clients with Medicaid issues and food stamps. She is used to navigating sometimes complex issues to come up with smart solutions.
“When I am not working, I’m spending time with my three daughters,” says Janese. “They keep me pretty busy with their activities. I sponsor a charity event once a year and serve alongside my church in passing out meals to the needy every other month. We’ve been doing that for over 10 years now. When I can have some alone time, I enjoy Netflix and couponing.”
