Top Places to Live in Moore County

Moore County is quickly becoming one of the most popular places to live in North Carolina.  Not only does Moore County have low property taxes, but also with the golf and proximity to Fort Bragg it makes it an easy choice to buy a home.  When considering Moore County as a permanent residence, there are several areas that are appealing to many different tastes.



Pinehurst is rated as one of the top places to retire in North Carolina.  Despite all of the golf courses in the area, the slow pace of life is endearing.  There are many terrific restaurants along with the quaint village to spend a day of shopping.  The famous Pinehurst Resort hosts many events along with a wonderful spa to visit also.  As a resident of Pinehurst there are many different memberships you can attain to play golf, tennis, and swim.  Pinehurst Lake is also a fun spot to spend a day or enjoy water activities. 



Aberdeen, which is just a short drive from Pinehurst, is ranked as the 19th most popular city in North Carolina.  Aberdeen boasts a lot of new neighborhoods with new construction and is close to all the major shopping stores that you can find in this area.  There are also many golf courses along with other activities to enjoy in this area.  Aberdeen is away from the downtown villages, but a close drive to any activity that the other cities host. 


Southern Pines

Southern Pines is ranked as 25th in the state of best places to buy a home.  Southern Pines is nestled between Pinehurst and Aberdeen and boasts a friendly small town feel.  It too has many golf courses along with a fun downtown to spend an afternoon or evening.  With many restaurants to choose from and fun nightlife. 


Whether you choose any of these areas to buy a home in Moore County, you will not be disappointed.  There are so close together that you won’t be able to recognize where one ends and the next begins.
